About Us

We have been trading since 1994, originally as a lighting support service for large maintenance companies such as Taylor Woodrow, Carillion, Crown House Engineering and Inviron.

Streetlights has grown steadily to a position where we now maintain the street lighting for over 120 Borough, District, Town, and Parish Councils.

We are an independent street lighting company covering both Local Authorities and Private Lighting Schemes throughout Kent, Surrey, East and West Sussex.

Our Aims

• To provide simple and effective street lighting maintenance at a fair price.
• To provide the lowest possible running costs for all clients.
• To take problems away from the clients and resolve them to complete satisfaction.
• Explain perceived problems in simple terms so that everyone can see the best way forward.
• Attend meetings at anytime, and provide information and advice on a personal level.

Health and Safety

We recognise that the health and safety of the public, and our staff, is of paramount importance. In addition to continual training, we have engaged one of the most highly qualified H & S Consultants as our advisor. Our systems are therefore subject to review on a regular basis, and we are commited to maintaining our Safe Contractor status.

Our Staff

Our engineers have established a reputation for being both friendly and reliable.

They are certified in the use of our plant and machinery, G39, IPAF, Signing and Guarding, Manual Handling and First Aid. All electricians are City and Guilds qualified.

They have used their knowledge and over 80 years combined experience in the lighting and electrical industries to develop methods of working that benefit both client and company.

Their repairs provide simple cost effective solutions and are completed using only top quality components from reputable suppliers. We have also established a network of small engineering manufacturers who can supply those "difficult to obtain" items to support their work.

Our Clients

The development of customer relationships has been crucial the continued growth of our company.

We actively encourage direct contact with our engineers on fault reporting and this often leads to the repair taking place within a day or two.

Understanding the needs and constraints of each client, plus our continual search for improvement, has led all of our existing clients to extend their original contracts with new long term ones.
